The club will be heading out tonight to watch classic cinema under the stars. Billy Wilder’s “Double Indemnity” is showing on Wednesday. This1944 film was nominated for 7 Oscars and stars Barbara Stanwyck, Edward G Robinson and Fred MacMurray. (I checked Weather.com and the forecast isn't good at this moment. The movie is at the Park District's discretion, so if it's raining or there's lightning the show will probably not go on. We'll see.)
Bring a sling chair or blanket and snacks to tide you over. The movie starts at sundown (if all goes according to plan that will be 8:14 p.m.) but come early to score the best plots of land. We’ll be there early (7:30 p.m.) to secure some real estate so if you want to sit with the club arrive after that, but before sundown. Once the movie begins I'll be giving up unclaimed space to anyone who wants it.
