The women dominated the men - at least in numbers - in bowling at this month's social event. There was an impressive turn out considering it was such an unusually warm November day and we had to compete with Reeling, the G&L film festival. There were five women and four men, though only three of the guys bowled. One big doofus just came to watch and drink beer. The lanes and teams separate by gender lines but no one could claim a monopoly on fun. Everyone enjoyed themselves - even the doofus.

One of the women showed up claiming it had been a while since she played 'volleybowl.' I think she was trying to encourage betting against her because she could really hurl that ball done the lane, but she had no takers. Frontrunners were not born yesterday no sirree.

(Oh, and the Only Child was pretty competitive for someone who can't bowl well. Just sayin'.)
