For a fun January social, join your FR/FW Chicago friends for a classic comedy movie then some food.

On Sunday, January 27th at 11:15 a.m., we'll meet in front of the Music Box Theater to see the 1963 classic "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" which starts at 11:30 a.m. Starring an ensemble cast of comedy’s finest of the time including Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Buddy Hackett, Ethel Merman, Mickey Rooney, and Phil Silvers, among many others.

The story basically is big chase. Before literally kicking the bucket when his car careens over an embankment, "Smiler" Grogan (Jimmy Durante) tells onlookers he's stashed $350,000 in stolen loot beneath "the big W" in the town of Santa Rosita … and thus begins a mad dash to recover the dough. But unbeknownst to the greedy motorists, police captain T.G. Culpepper (Spencer Tracy) -- who's been awaiting a break in the Grogan case for 20 years -- is stalking their every move.

This is a damn fun and mad, mad, mad, mad movie!

The cost is $7.25

After that, if there's interest, we’ll walk a few doors down the street for brunch at Cullen’s or maybe head up for a drink at Big Chicks.

Bring a friend and join us for this event.
